MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - One of the top position battles for Texas Tech this Spring is for the starting quarterback job. During the annual scrimmage at Grande Communications Stadium, head coach Kliff Kingsbury saw some things he liked and other things they need to improve on.
"We just got to get better. We're young and we're just figuring it out. We've got a bunch of guys coming back and that's a big piece of the puzzle. There's a sense of urgency with that group between McLane, Jett, Alan they've got to take big strides over the next six months. We all know in the offense and this university you have to play well at that position to have a chance. I like they're operation and starting to understand what we're getting at. We just got to keep stacking days on top of each other," said Kliff Kingsbury.
