FORT DAVIS, TX (KWES) - A man is behind bars after his wife, a Marfa teacher, was found stabbed to death in her home.

On March 16, Marfa dispatch toned out Fort Davis EMS to an unconscious woman at 424 Granado Street in Fort Davis.

We're told the woman's 7-year-old told neighbors his father had killed his mother.

After taking blood samples, police found that the swabs tested positive, indicating Daniel did have blood on his hands.

Daniel also agreed to take a polygraph test on Monday, which he failed.

He is now being charged with the murder of his wife.  He is on a $130,000 bond.
