Permian Basin Comic Con takes over Midland County Horseshoe Arena

MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) -

The Permian Basin Comic Con has taken over the Midland County Horseshoe Arena this weekend.

The event bringing out hundreds of people to live out their favorite fantasy fandoms.

Many people dressed in costume as they browsed through the dozens of vendors, met actor and writers of comic books and shows, and took part in the numerous interactive activities.

The event also featured special guest panels, roller derby, and card game tournaments.

Some vendors like Bill Sawyers who was in charge of a Star Wars stand said this was one of the best efforts of a Comic-con to ever come to West Texas.

"This comic con has been growing year by year, this year its really big, its fantastic," says Sawyers.

The event will open again Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets are $15.
