PRESIDIO, TX (KWES) - For the last couple of weeks an artist known as "El Mac" has spent eight to 12 hours a day repainting Presidio's water tower.
The picture is of abuela, a Mexican grandmother holding a rose.
El Mac says the mural is based on a woman he met in Presidio named Linda Lujan. He chose to paint her simply because her face looked maternal.
"Painting an image that is something softer, more welcoming, more feminine, just seemed appropriate," El Mac said.
