Life happens and when it does, sometimes it comes at you all at once and the next thing you know is you have a lawsuit against you.

It could also be you need help with a suspended license, child custody, landlord-tenant issues or any other civil issue that is not criminal.

Every third Tuesday of the month, Legal Aid of Northwest Texas offers a free workshop. This is for people to get free legal advice.

"Our services are free, the consultation is free, if the attorney decided to take your case its free," said Pedro Fierro, EJVP Program Coordinator.

The group says they are also looking for more attorneys to sign up and help them.

"Attorneys who are out there, just give me one hour of your time. You have got a gift. I can get them in the door. We can get them in the door, but sometimes they just need someone to talk too, a shoulder to cry on, some advice and that makes a difference," said Fierro.
