MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) - The Midland County Sheriff's Office received a $3,000 donation towards its Crisis Intervention Unit on Monday morning during the county's Commissioners Court meeting.
The Crisis Intervention Unit assists the family's members of victims of crimes with services like counseling and assisted grieving, as well as monetary assistance.
Sheriff Gary Painter says the money will go to much needed supplies.
"That means a lot, that an individual understands what we're going through, some of the situations that we have, some of the problems that we have with supplies for crisis intervention and they have stepped up well above the call of duty," says Painter.
