BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) - Long-time Howard County Volunteer Fire Department Chief Tommy Sullivan was recently diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Friends and family have set up a GoFundMe account to help with medical costs.

As of today, the account has raised nearly $5,000 for the man who's served as a firefighter for more than 30 years. Their goal is $40,000.

Sullivan had to deal with more health issues last year since part of his right leg was amputated due to complications from an incident more than a decade ago.
