PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

Greene County deputies arrested a Paragould man after they say he sold meth to a confidential informant.

On March 7, according to the initial incident report, investigators received a call from an informant who said 33-year-old Casey Stokes had contacted them, offering narcotics for sale.

Detectives arranged for the informant to meet Stokes at the Big Top Flea Market on Highway 49B. They also gave the informant $225 from the Greene County Drug Purchase Fund and a real-time recording/listening device.

The investigators watched and listened from an unmarked car as Stokes and the informant “talk about, then execute a drug transaction.” At one point in the conversation, they claimed Stokes said, “There is more where that came from.”

Following the alleged transaction, Stokes left in a pickup truck driven by 41-year-old Brandy Harley of Piggott.

Deputies followed the truck and stopped it at the intersection of Highway 49B and 135 North.

When they searched Stokes, deputies reportedly recovered the $225 used for the transaction from his pocket.

When investigators searched Harley, they found 7.6 grams of methamphetamine and a set of digital scales, the incident report said.

Detectives met up with the informant who handed them a large clear baggie containing a white crystal-like substance weighing 7.0 grams and testing positive for meth.

Stokes is being held at the Greene County Detention Center on suspicion of delivery of meth or cocaine greater than 2 grams but less than 10 grams, distribution near certain facilities, and use of a communication device.

Harley is being held on suspicion of possession of meth or cocaine greater than 2 grams but less than 10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.
