MIDLAND-ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

Get your appetites ready, this is the 17th year for the Empty Bowls Fundraiser Event.

We're told for $15 you can get a handcrafted bowl made by locals and get to keep the bowl.

Also, we’re told you can get all you can eat soups and desserts provided by Jason’s Deli in Midland and Catfish and Company in Odessa.

The fundraiser added they made around 900 bowls and all the money raised stays right here to help put food on less fortunate families tables.

“Events like this really help us make sure pantries are full of what they need, and that we've got the resources to get the resources out to our partners in that 34,000 sq. mile area, " said Craig Stoker, West Texas Food Bank.

We’re told the event takes place this Friday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Trinity School Commons, located at 3500 West Wadley Avenue.

According to the fundraiser, each bowl purchased will provide 60 meals in the community.
