Good rain chances return Thursday as an upper-air disturbance slides through the region. Rains will likely get an earlier start with a 50% to 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms expected from late morning into the afternoon. Highs will top out in the upper 80°s for most before the rains arrive.

If you're sick of our rainy weather pattern, good news arrives for the weekend. Rain chances drop off dramatically beginning Friday and continuing through the weekend. We'll keep shower chances under 20% from Friday through Sunday and, as a result, look for highs to reach the low to mid 90°s.

Little change is expected into the early part of next week, although rain chances may inch back up into the 20% to 30% range from Monday through Wednesday.
