MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - It's been 2 years, and a special program, organized by officers from the Midland Police Department, is still going strong.
Every year, they spread the Christmas cheer at Midland Memorial Hospital.
The give stuffed animals to children, being treated during the holidays.
These officers say the best part is seeing the little faces light up.
"Some of them were happy, some of them were kind of nervous where all the people were coming in the room. But like I said, they were a little nervous. For the most part, they're all happy that they get a little buddy for Christmas. It's pretty nice, it makes us happy. It makes our Christmas as well. It's a good deal all around,"
M.P.D. says they plan to continue the tradition of visiting the children at the hospital for as long as they can.
