MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) - UPDATE: According to DPS, two people died as a result of this accident.
Orlando Oviedo, 24, of Rio Grande City, and Diego Pena, 24, of Roma, both died on scene. They were driving a Nissan Versa when they failed to control their speed and rear-ended a semi.

Texas DPS was on scene of a major crash in Midland.
We're told it happened on 158 and County Road 140 at 4:30 pm.
Two vehicles were involved and the extent of the injuries are not known.
