ECTOR COUNTY, TX (KWES) - UPDATE: The Ector County Sheriff's Office has released some additional information regarding Thursday's incident in Ector County.
We're told deputies received information around noon that the suspect driving a maroon pick-up that was involved in a drive-by shooting Thursday morning was at a home in the 1400 block of Copus Ave.
Authorities said numerous attempts were made by officers to contact the subject to exit the residence with no response.
With the assistance of DPS, U.S. Marshals Office, Odessa Police and the Tactical Response Team (TRT), along with a robot were used in the incident. A drone was also used by the sheriff's office to provide aerial surveillance above the home.
We're told tear gas was deployed into the home and the TRT made entry and no one was found.
The search for the suspect continues.

Authorities are on the scene of a "hostile situation" in Ector County.

Roads are closed in the area due to the incident.
