Freeze warning issued for much of Permian Basin for Sat. morning

(KWES) - The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for much of the Permian Basin for Saturday morning.

The freeze warning includes the following counties: Andrews, Borden, Ector, Glasscock, Howard, Martin, Midland, Mitchell, Reagan, Scurry and Winkler County. The Eddy County Plains, Guadalupe Mountains of Eddy County and Southern Lea County are also included in the warning.

A hard freeze warning has been issued for Central Lea County, Northern Lea County, Davis/Apache Mountains area, Dawson and Gaines County and the Marfa Plateau.

The warnings are in effect until 9 a.m. CDT/8 a.m. MDT.

Be sure to remember the three "P"s: pets, plants and pipes. Be sure to bring in your outdoor pets or ensure that your outdoor pets have somewhere warm to go. Cover any plants that may be affected and cover any exposed pipes.
