MIDLAND-ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

The first full week of October saw several restaurants in the city of Odessa receive perfect scores from the health inspector. But unlike the previous week, October 2 through October 6 did see one low performer.

Stripes at 5200 JBS Parkway in Odessa was cited for the following:

- Some items not labeled/date marked
- Some food in cooler not covered
- Dumpster lid was open
- Food prep area dirty
- Handwashing sinks partially blocked
- Several products out of date (Oscar Meyer wieners/Hormel Turkey & Cheese)

This resulted in the health inspector deducting 16 points from this Stripes location.

As we mentioned, there were several places in Odessa that had perfect scores. Here’s a look at Odessa’s top performers:

- Sweet Tooth (4101 E. 42nd St.)
- Taqueria Guadalajara (1301 S. Crane Ave.)
- Dajour (4121 N. County Rd.)
- Pretzel Makers (4101 E. 42nd St.)
- Popcorn Can Company (4101 E. 42nd St.)
