New Midland ISD program aims for post graduation readiness using texting

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

Are you tired of your teenagers always texting, at the dinner table, in the car and even on family night?

Well Midland ISD is launching a program where texting might mean preparing for college. The free texting tool aims at students having a plan ready by the time they walk the stage.

Whether that's a 2-year college, university, military or entering the work force.

A real expert will reply via text message helping create an after graduation plan.

     According to police, a black Ford F-150, being operated by Marcelo Olivas, 17, was traveling on private property when a 20-month-old boy ran out in front of the F-150 and was struck by it.
