ECTOR COUNTY, TX (KWES) - The Ector County Independent School District is hoping to pass a school bond, costing over $291 million of taxpayer dollars.

The district says it will help overcrowding at the secondary education level.

If the bond passes, it would pay to build a new high school for 2,500 students.

It would also be used to convert Ector Middle School to another high school for 1,500 students.

The money also goes to building a district wide fiber network and district wide improvements for things like roofing, heating and air, plumbing and window replacements.
