BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) - Big Spring Police are investigating following a "shots fired" call that ended with one person dead and another behind bars.
The incident happened just after 2 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Settles St.
We're told when officers arrived on the scene, Calvin Lawson, 34, was seen walking away from the area.
Police said following further investigation, they found Sterling McIntosh, 34, dead in the area.
Authorities added that some sort of altercation occurred between Lawson and McIntosh, which resulted in the death of McIntosh.
We're told that detectives are submitting an affidavit for a search warrant for the residence and an arrest warrant for Lawson for murder.
Lawson is currently being held for outstanding warrants.
An autopsy has been ordered for McIntosh and will take place on Friday morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
