MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Goodwill in Midland is closer to opening the doors of their new store, despite protests from nearby neighbors.
The City of Midland approved building a wooden fence behind the store to separate it from nearby homes.
Neighbors pushed for a solid brick wall, but on Tuesday, the city council agreed it was too expensive for the charity group.
This all comes on the heels of a petition signed by 27 homeowners, who did not want the goodwill to be opened next to them.
