MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - One special needs park is on the road to becoming a reality in Midland.
The City of Midland approved a promotional agreement with the Midland Development Corporation and the Bush Tennis Center.
It will help get plans underway to create the Chris Davidson Opportunity Park.
The park will be designed for special needs children and it will have a wheelchair-friendly playground.
"It's an opportunity park and individuals, handicapped children and adults come to a park to play just like everybody else. So we're really excited about that," said Midland City Councilman, John B. Love, III.
There's no set date on when the park will begin construction.
