(KWES) - Today is a First Alert Weather Day.
This alert day has been called due to the high probability of flooding across portions of the area throughout this afternoon and evening.
A cold front is moving slowly through West Texas and this is popping up some very heavy rain.
We also will have a chance for some strong to marginally severe storms in our very western counties... Mainly in portions of Culberson, Jeff Davis, Presidio, and Reeves Counties.
If we see a severe storm, we could be looking at hail around quarter size and wind around 60 mph. Stay with NewsWest9 for the latest!
