ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Dr. Adrian Vega is the chairman of 4 Kids Future.
"The whole reason that we exist is advocate on behalf of our community."
A former educator.
"I've done everything from classroom teacher, to campus principal, to deputy superintendent, to superintendent."
Most importantly he's a parent in Ector County ISD.
"I want to make sure that my kids have every opportunity to succeed in life."
When it comes to the district's November Bond and TRE election, there are 291 million reasons why it's important to him.
"In it's most immediate impact, obviously it would help with the overcrowding at the secondary level. Immediately it would help with the facility upgrades."
Two new high schools, new middle school and a district wide fiber network, along with teacher raises are at stake.
"This is our school district. This is Odessa's school district. As a community, these are our schools, these are our teachers, these are our kids."
Leading up to the election, Vega will do what he can to inform and even register voters because what this could mean for E.C.I.S.D's future.
"We're really at a critical point because I think what frightens me the most is that if this doesn't pass, what are we going to do then?"
