5 Odessa police officers presented "Star of Texas" Award from Gov. Greg Abbott

Five Odessa Police Department officers were presented the "Star of Texas" Award from Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

The officers who were presented the award are: Officer Whitney Branch, Sgt. Pete Gonzalez, Cpl. Donny Rocha, Cpl. Cory Wester and Cpl. Anthony Rossman.

"We can never say thank you enough to those who put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe," said Gov. Abbott.

The "Star of Texas" Award recognizes brave men and women who give their lives or sustain serious bodily injuries in the line of duty.
