Weekend drowning victim identified in Midland

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

UPDATE: We have learned the name of the victim who died in a weekend drowning. 

The Midland Police Department has identified the victim as Baneza Norez, 23.

Police are investigating a Sunday night drowning.

Midland officers were called out to the Waterford at North Park apartments just before 10 p.m. where they found a female who nearly drowned.

She was taken to the hospital while still alive, but she later died there.

Her age and identity has not been released yet and as of this time, we’re told foul-play is not suspected.
