MIDLAND-ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

The week of August 14th through August 18th was a great one for Odessa restaurants. They had no low performers and several restaurants with perfect scores. However, Midland had a couple of places who didn’t meet the bar.

- Food containers not dated/labeled
- Uncovered food containers
- No soap/paper towels at hand wash sink
- No thermometers in reach-in freezer
- Microwave oven was dirty
- Floor behind fryer/grill was dirty

This resulted in the health inspector deducting 17 points from Ard’s Country Store Deli.

- No labels on flour & rice bins
- Uncovered pot of beans in cooler
- Salsa containers covered with paper towels
