ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

The Odessa Police Department is asking for your help with a theft investigation that happened back in August.

Officers were called out to 2419 North County Road West in reference to an auto burglary just before 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 23.

There, the investigation revealed that a person had stolen the tailgate off a red Dodge RAM 1500, valued at about $1,000. Attached to it was a spoiler, valued at approximately $650.

Surveillance video shows the suspect in a gray Ford F-150 with an extended cab and single side step by each door. The front tires also appear to have a chrome-colored wheel or cap and the back left tire appears to be missing a hubcap.

Anyone with information in reference to this truck is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (432) 333-TIPS or OPD at (432) 335-4994.
