MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) - A few months ago we told you how the Midland County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) was going to be featured on national television as part of a reality show.
The crew has finished wrapping up, at least for now.
Investigator Bobby Neal has worked with the Midland County Sheriff's Office for 20 years. He's one of the deputies featured on the national television show, Live PD. The show features law enforcement around the country doing their job.
Neal said at first, the team was a little apprehensive about having an extra crew with them, but after safety was discussed as the number one priority, both crews reached an agreement.
Neal said the show gives the community an inside look at the dangers the job comes with.
"We treat things that way every time we go through a house or gonna go serve a warrant on a suspected violent criminal," said Neal. "We base that on criminal history, what the current charge is and our dealings with them before."
Neal said after Midland was featured on the show, he's noticed extra support from the community. Especially recently while working an off duty job with a partner.
"This couple was very nice and they actually thanked us for doing what we do and helping keep the community safe and actually prayed for us. It was very neat and touching that citizens would take their time to thank us and actually say a prayer for us."
MCSO was featured on the show several times since January. It's unknown if the camera crew will return for a second season.
