One man is behind bars following an incident last week in Odessa.

James Meyer, 33, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence).

Odessa police were called out to the 1500 block of E. 23rd St. in reference to an incomplete 911 call.

When officers arrived, they spoke with a 29-year-old female and her fiancé, identified as Meyer.

Police said an investigation revealed that after a disturbance occurred, Meyer chased his fiancé with a knife and threw knives at her.

One witness told police that they saw Meyer chasing his fiancé before throwing multiple knives at her.

We're told the woman didn't have any injuries.

Meyer was later arrested and taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
