(KWES) - Two Dallas Cowboys made headlines this week. One who is trading in his helmet and pads for a suit and microphone. Another who made a special trip to the Tall City to help raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of the Permian Basin.
It's what Dak Prescott did before the black tie event that caught my attention. At his request, he hosted a question and answer session with about 100 plus students. From the ones we talked to in our story last (Wednesday) night, inspired would be an understatement.
While his visit here raised over a reported $300,000 for the Boys and Girls Club, the time he spent with our youth is hard to put a price on.
There's a committee of folks who deserves a big thank you. About 8 months ago, they recognized how Prescott's story, character, and heart could make an impact on the Permian Basin.
