Missing 10-year-old found safe

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) -

UPDATE: Midland police is reporting 10-year-old Jacob Garcia was found safe. 

We're told he was found in the front yard of another home. 

Police said someone saw him and contacted police.

The Midland Police Department needs your help locating a missing 10-year-old.

Police are searching for 10-year-old Jacob Garcia.

We're told Garcia was last seen around 4 p.m. leaving Scharbauer Elementary and was walking westbound with a backpack in the 5500 block of Crowley Blvd.

Garcia is 4' tall, 70 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a gray t-shirt.

    Thousands without power as storms roll through Permian Basin

    Storms are rolling through the Permian Basin, causing plenty to lose power.  Oncor said the city of Midland has 7,000 people without power, while Odessa is sitting at 1,100.  Midland is experiencing a few transmission issues, causing 3,400 of those people to be without power currently.
