MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Two Midland schools made a statewide honor roll.
Carver Gifted and Talented Academy and Early College High School at Midland College were two of 727 public schools to get the honor.
They were selected by the educational results partnership and the institute for productivity in education.
Those are leaders in the Texas academic and business communities.
The honor roll is part of a national effort to identify higher-performing schools and highlight successful practices that improve outcomes for students.
It's given to schools who show consistent high levels of student academic achievement, who improve achievement over time and who reduce achievement gaps among their students.
For high schools, the honor roll recognition also includes measures of college readiness.
