ODESSA, TX (KWES) - Some locals got together today for a car show and a silent auction to benefit our friends in the Panhandle.
This past week, Patrick Fry asked the owners of the Jack Jordan's Barbeque to help those who have been dealing with the aftermath of the fires.
He says they threw it together in about three days and have raised a lot of money so far.
They gave away gift cards from local businesses and had plenty of cool cars.
Fry says after a trip recently to the fire damage, he realized how much help they still needed.
"Took a load up two weeks ago, hung around, built some fences with some of the guys there, saw the devastation. They still need help. They'll never ask for it, but they need to help." said Fry, car show organizer.
They estimated to have raised more than $4000 for those in the panhandle.
