ALPINE, TX (KWES) - The Alpine Police Department confirms Chris Estrada was indicted Friday with two counts. One for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence by concealing a human corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
The indictment said Estrada helped hide the body of Zuzu Verk, bed linens belonging to Robert Fabian, Zuzu's cell phone and car keys.
Estrada remains in the Presidio County jail on a $500,000 bond. We're told if Estrada makes bond, he will have to surrender his passport and check in with the Brewster County Sheriff's Office daily.
Estrada was arrested in Phoenix after Zuzu Verk's body was found near Alpine.
Zuzu's on again, off again boyfriend, Robert Fabian was indicted for murder and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence by concealing a human corpse two weeks ago.
Fabian is still behind bars in Brewster County with a bond of $925,000.
