STANTON, TX (KWES) - Shoppers from all over are getting ready to head out to Stanton next weekend for the Old Sorehead Trade Days.
This is the 25th year for the event, which includes shopping, food and entertainment.
Admission is free for the whole family and so is parking.
Coordinators say more than 600 vendors will be there, covering over nine city blocks, in downtown Stanton.
Old Sorehead Trade Days helps put money back into the community.
"Trade days is a non-profit organization and we take the money that we make from booth rent and we put it back into our community. We do downtown beautification projects, we help local groups: 4H, EMS, senior citizens, things like that. The money that we make it goes back into our community," said Shawna Burch, Director of Community Development.
This year they have decided to award a $1,000 scholarship to two graduating seniors in Martin County, one at Stanton High School and another at Grady High School.
