ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

One man is behind bars following an incident in Odessa last week.

Alexander Delgado, 20, is charged with assault family violence with prior convictions and resisting arrest.

Odessa police were called out to the 500 block of Amburgey Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old girl and Delgado.

Police said an investigation revealed that after both subjects got into an argument, Delgado grabbed his cousin's arm, causing multiple red marks on her right arm and scratch marks on her right hand.

We're told Delgado refused to comply with officer's commands and pulled away with his arms under his body.

Authorities added Delgado continued to resist arrest but was eventually taken into custody.

An investigation showed that Delgado had two prior convictions for family violence out of Ector County.

Delgado was taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
