(KWES) - The ashy smoke smell, which has been a problem across the Permian Basin, is slowly starting to move out of the area.
All the smoke from the Panhandle fires moved into the area behind a cold front early Tuesday morning.
Currently, the forecast is showing improved visibilities to the north so we are expecting the smoke to continue to dissipate throughout the afternoon.
There's no exact timetable as to when the smoke will completely be gone from the area.
The Stormtracker 9 Weather Team will have the latest throughout the day on http://www.newswest9.com and on social media.
We will keep you up-to-date.
