ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

One woman is behind bars accused of intoxication assault.

Marisol Propeck, 31, was arrested on Friday morning.

We're told Odessa Police and Odessa Fire-Rescue were called out to the intersection of 8th Street and Grant Avenue around 2:30 a.m. in reference to a major crash involving a motorcycle.

Police said an investigation revealed that a red 2014 motorcycle, driven by Jesse Delgado, 28, of Odessa was traveling westbound in the 100 block of West 8th Street.

That's when, police said, a white 2016 Toyota Corolla, driven by Propeck, failed to control speed and hit the motorcycle from behind.

Delgado was taken to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury.

According to the report, when officers spoke with Propeck, they could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath.

Propeck was later arrested after failing field sobriety tests.
