(KWES) - As 2016 comes to a close, the West Texas Food Bank says they are getting desperate for donations.
The food bank has over 75 partner agencies, many are in the Permian Basin.
They say, this year alone, the Baptist Crisis Center in Midland had over 756 families visit in November.
That's a dramatic increase from the 200 they saw in 2014.
The Jubilee Center of Midland fed 1,000 mouths this year, half of them children.
The food bank says the loss of jobs, pay cuts and an increase in the cost of living are all taking a toll and they are in serious need of food donations.
To help support the West Texas Food Bank, you can go online to http://www.wtxfoodbank.org or you can send a donation to P.O. Box 4242, Odessa, Texas, 79760.
