ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars following a robbery at one Odessa park on Friday.
Desi Franco, 27, is charged with aggravated robbery, theft from a person, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
We're told officers were called out to the area of University Blvd. and Grandview Ave. when a 26-year-old victim told police that he had been robbed at Jim Parker Park, located in the 3100 block of E. University Blvd.
The victim stated to police that Franco held a knife to his stomach and stole his wallet, money, cell phone, Oakley sunglasses and ID.
That's when Franco fled the scene in a maroon Mercury.
Then two days later, police spotted the same vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
Authorities later found the victim's debit card and Oakley sunglasses in Franco's possession. Officers also found marijuana, Xanax and other stolen property on Franco.
According to the report, Franco later admitted to showing a knife and stealing the property.
Franco was later arrested and taken to the Ector County Detention Center.
