Woman arrested for assaulting disabled brother

ODESSA, TX (KWES) -

A fight over what to watch on TV ended with one woman behind bars accused of assaulting her disabled brother.

Marsha Smith, 53, is charged with injury to a disabled person (family violence).

According to the report, officers were called out to the 400 block of Fitch Ave. in reference to a disturbance.

An investigation revealed that a 55-year-old disabled man and Smith got into an argument over which channel to watch on television.

Police said that's when Smith began scratching her brother's arms and punching his face. The report stated that Smith also bit his left arm and continued fighting him until a family member separated them.

Smith was later arrested and taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

    The Big Spring Police Department and Howard County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Department of Public Safety and Howard County District Attorney’s Office, have just completed an operation targeting online sexual predators.  During this operation, undercover investigative personnel posted fictitious ads or profiles on various social media platforms, and websites posing as prostitutes or those soliciting prostitutes.
