A Midland fugitive is behind bars in connection with an Odessa robbery investigation.
Benjamin Madden, 47, is charged with robbery, theft of property and false identification - fugitive from justice.
Back on Dec. 9, Odessa police were called out to Target in the 3900 block of E. 42nd St. in reference to a robbery.
When officers arrived, a store employee told police she saw Madden walk out of the store with approximately $25 worth of merchandise.
The employee stated that when she confronted Madden, he pushed her down to the ground causing injuries to her ankle, shoulder and shoulder blade.
Madden then fled the scene in a silver Chevrolet Silverado and the employee was able to give officers a license plate number.
10 days later, Odessa police found Madden in the 4400 block of Haner Dr.
Further investigation determined that Madden gave officers a false name and date of birth.
That's when officers discovered that Madden had a felony theft warrant of out Midland County.
Madden was later charged and taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
