(KWES) - The chill of Mother Nature has returned to the Permian Basin and temperatures are expected to drop below freezing for some of the western counties in the area.
A hard freeze warning has been issued for Loving, Reeves, Ward and Winkler County from 4 a.m. Wednesday morning until 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Temperatures are expected to drop to between 26 to 28 degrees during the warned time.
If you are in the warned area, remember to bring in the pets, cover up any exposed pipes and take care of any cold-sensitive plants.
The rest of the area is expected to see near freezing temperatures during the overnight.
