ECTOR COUNTY, TX (KWES) - A 15-year-old teen has been charged following a hit and run accident which ended following a high speed pursuit.

The Ector County Sheriff's Office said they were called out to a hit and run accident that happened at the intersection of Dunn St. and Cedar Creek Ave. just before 10:30 a.m. this morning.

While deputies were responding, they spotted the vehicle described in the hit and run in the area of University Blvd and FM 1936. The vehicle was also reported stolen earlier in the day.

Deputies said they attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver attempted to run from them and a pursuit began with speeds topping over 100 miles per hour.
