Authorities offering $2,500 reward for information regarding 2015 cold case murder

MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) - Midland Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information regarding a 2015 cold case that left one man dead.

Back on Nov. 29, 2015 just before 4 a.m., deputies were called out to the 3300 block of South County Road 1210 in reference to a gunshot victim.

We're told the victim was identified as Ruddy Alvear, also known as Eric to his friends.

Officials say Alvear was shot multiple times to his back.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

However, authorities said, Alvear told them before he died that a Hispanic male shot him.
