For the fourth session in a row, State Representative Tom Craddick filed a bill to make it against the law to use your cellphone while driving.

Craddick said that there were 482 deaths on Texas roads in 2015 due to distracted driving and he continues to push to lower that number down to zero.

In a statement released on Monday, Craddick said, "distracted driving is an epidemic in Texas and we must pass a law to address this life-threatening habit."

The next legislative session where this bill is set to be discussed will convene January 10, 2017.
