Celebration will include recognition of those who served in the armed forces.

Polo Park Estates will host Greathouse Elementary student singers and the American Legion. Residents will also release red, white and blue balloons.

Motorcycle Honor Ride

$10 fee.
Honor ride will go to the Big Spring Vietnam Memorial.

Barbecue Dinner for Veterans

Odessa

Veteran's Day Flag Raising Ceremony

Saulsbury Campus Center (Odessa College Campus), 201 W. University Blvd. 
7:45 a.m. 
Michael Pules, a member of the Student Veteran’s Organization who served our country in the U.S. Navy and the U. S Army, will be the master of ceremonies. The public is invited to come and honor special guest U.S. Marine Corps veteran J.E. “Coach” Pressly, an Odessa College board of trustees member. The ceremony also will be held in honor of all veterans who have served our country defending the rights of our nation and the freedom of all its citizens.Parking will be available on the north side of the Saulsbury Campus Center.

Veteran's Day at U.T.P.B.
Friday, Nov. 11
U.T.P.B. Gym
9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
Event will include music, pledges of allegiance and a keynote speech from Ret. Colonel Gary Law. Law has earned multiple awards and decorations including the Legion of Merit Medal, the Bronze Star Medal with an Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Meritorious Unit Commendation and the Combat Action Badge. Celebration will feature American Flag skydiving presentation feature Sgt. 1st Class (R) Dana Bowman, Army Special Forces, Golden Knights Double Amputee Skydiver and Motivational Speaker. A meet and greet is also available following the celebration with John "Tig" Tiegen, CIA Response Team Member in the Battle of Benghazi and Co-Author of 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi. The Comanche Springs Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) has scheduled a Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Ceremony honoring all who served during the Vietnam era (1955 to 1975).
