Police searching for motorcyclist involved in Midland pursuit

The Midland Police Department has released some new information regarding a pursuit that injured officer Jacob Churchwell last Wednesday.

MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - The Midland Police Department has released some new information regarding a pursuit that injured officer Jacob Churchwell last Wednesday.

We're told the motorcyclist is described as a man between the ages of 25 to 35 with a light complexion. We're told he was wearing a blue backpack and was operating a Suzuki GXR that was white, blue and black.

Authorities said his image was show on surveillance camera from the Kent Kwik at Highway 191 and Avalon Drive and near the H-E-B at Highway 191 and Loop 250, just before the pursuit began.

Midland Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the man's whereabouts.

Midland Police said Churchwell remains in stable condition.
