LUBBOCK- The Texas Tech Red Raiders mounted a furious comeback after squandering a first half lead to Texas, but it wasn't enough.
Patrick Mahomes threw an interception with just seconds left in the game and the Longhorns picked up a 45-37 win.
Head Coach Kliff Kingsburry said after the game that he though Mahomes was doing to much.
"Yeah, it's definitely not helping. I thought at times we didn't protect well, and at times Pat may have gotten out of the pocket a little bit early, but we've got to be better up front," Kingsburry said. "We've got to execute better at wide receiver, gotta run better routes, gotta be more accurate as a thrower. To me it looked like it was a combination of all those things today."
The Red Raiders fell to 2-4 in Big 12 play and 4-5 on the year.
Next up for Tech is a road game at Oklahoma State.
