Odessa PD: Woman arrested after burglary, assaulting former co-worker

ODESSA, TX (KWES) - An Odessa woman was arrested after police say she burglarized a home and then assaulted a former co-worker.

Officers were called out to the 1100 block of Wilson St. for a burglary in progress.

When officers arrived on scene, they saw a woman holding down another woman.

Police say the 35-year-old victim identified Gabriela Ordonez-Reyes, 35, as the person who entered her home through the back bathroom window. Ordonez-Reyes allegedly went on to break items inside the house.

Authorities say Ordonez-Reyes then tried to hit the victim in the head with a table leg.

According to the 35-year-old woman, Ordonez-Reyes was a former co-worker and did not have permission to be at her home.

Ordonez-Reyes was arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony.
