ODESSA, TX (KWES) - One man is behind bars after attempting to steal a tablet from a store in his pants.
Rito Suniga, 23, was arrested for theft of property with at least two prior convictions.
According to the report, officers were called out to Target on 42nd Street in reference to a shoplifter.
When officers arrived Target employees reported that they saw Suniga conceal a computer tablet in his pants and exit the store without making any attempt to pay.
Police said further investigation revealed that Suniga has two prior theft convictions out of Crane and Lubbock County.
Suniga was later charged and taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
